How Much Does Egg Freezing Cost in 2025?
The cost of egg freezing process in 2025 in Los Angeles is $15,000. This includes all office visits, medications, egg retrieval at UCLA hospital. This does not include egg storage fee of $550/year. Most insurance do not cover any part of the cost. Some companies may pay for egg freezing and IVF as part of your benefits package. This is about $2,000 cheaper than private clinics.
This is the breakdown of what I paid at UCLA hospital as of late 2022:
– First consultation with OB doctor: $700
– Blood work before starting cycle: $302.5
– Ultrasound before starting cycle: $979.3
– All consultations & tests during cycle: $4,000
– Medications: $4489.06
(Including: First pickup with all meds for 5 days: $2,097.5. First Refill 4 Menopur: $367.96. Second Refill all meds: $2023.6 )
– Blood tests: $884.5
– Egg retrieval: $4,071
– Storage fee: $750 for the first year. If you pay for 10 years instead, it’s $550/year.
Here’s the message I received from UCLA regarding cost of egg freezing and retrieval:
The the day you go in for your retrieval you will pay $1,295 for the surgery center fee’s and $495 for anesthesia.”
(Also, parking at UCLA is $14 per visit. You’ll need more than 10 visits, each may last 30-45mins.)
This does not include the cost of time and efforts. It would help if you have flexible schedule at your job, because the ultrasound & bloodwork appointments may vary/move depending on how your body reacts to the meds.
